Artificial cannot replace the Natural

This was what i thought when i tasted the mint “flavoured” drink that was served to me at a popular hang out place in the city. So, here is the full story.

Myself and two of my supposed ‘biz’ mates had settled in for a discussion on the proposed plan and talks were going well too. The clock ticked and ticked leading to quite a late discussion and something inside started telling me that i should be filling in now. So there came the part timer whose voice was timid(Mr.T) enough to make me ask ‘uh sorry i couldn’t get you’ and then the first item that was ordered from the table was a spinach-corn-cheese sandwich which i thought (only i) would taste good for the cheese factor. Then the drink was, yeah, the mint drink(at this point of time, i thought it would be a natural flavoured one! – of course pudina). The discussion continued and that something inside me also continued. Finally when the discussion was just about to end, a plate was on the table with the ordered items placed. Initially an ‘uh oh’ feeling for the spinach sandwich arose but later, it tasted good. This info was received with a sarcastic look and a ‘talking tactics’ reply from the people at the table. Anyways, i had to say what i had to say. But, the show is not over yet!. The real misadventure was when the mint drink turned out to be artificial. But, why didn’t the Conscious 12% of my mind did not guess it by seeing the color of the drink (sky blue!)?. It had become dormant i guess. Duh!. Anyways, had to sip up and pep up myself with much scrutiny from the mates at my face and one among them was in a hurry to make the way out too.  Mr. T asked for the feedback on the drink(which is a part of his part-time job?) and got to know that i did not like the bluuee drink with much smiles arising from the table and an accomplishment from one too, that it was known already,  from the look on my face when the glass was being emptied.

Anyways, two messages were apprised at this situation.

1.  Always ask whether the drink is natural or artificial flavoured.

2. This post’s title says it all!.
