3 Idiots – Bollywood Hindi Movie Review (by a guest)

This review wasn’t made by me. It was made by one of my blog’s frequent visitors “Mrunalini”. We both had watched 3 Idiots movie with her catching it up the first day first show and me on the fourth day. I just asked her whether she can make a review of the movie and here it is right below for you to read. Do say your thoughts after reading.

3 Idiots – The Review

It takes a moment for some great things to happen. These words were ringing in my mind as I walked out of the theatre after watching 3 idiots. So what was great about the movie? The answer is the movie itself. The movie proved how 3 engineering college students could tell the world what stupidity meant or even what it takes to be stupid.

Hirani, the director of the movie has proved that he has got a wand to weave magical stories. He is one such director who can lace drama with comedy. I think he would be the only director who could ever think of an engineering student to deliver a kid on the ping pong table, a dramatic take but a creative one.

Hirani had the audience in splits when chamatkar was replaced by balatkar, 3 idiots tease the exam supervisor, the antics of the character who played Pia’s groom and so on. These are only few, but the movie has got more ones!

I loved the fact that the movie drew inspiration from Five Point Someone, and did not copy it line by line. If it did copy form the book, we would have missed a wonderful line ”Aal izz well”. I also loved the songs, especially the Give me some sunshine one, which had the perfect lyrics and great music too.

Coming to one of the toughest questions, whom did I like in the movie! It should obviously be Rancho, the perfect guy. But this movie is not only about Rancho, it is about Farhans, Rajus and Chaturs. It is about us and is about rediscovering us. Rancho is just that good angel that we all want in our lives!

Putting all the philosophy on the back seat, this movie is a must watch! The critics have mercilessly criticized it, but give the movie a chance for it will help you grow up once again!

To rate this movie, its a movie from the heart, where do ratings come from?!

Anyways if i had to rate it, I would rate a score of 8/10 for the 3 Idiots !!
